The Trout Unlimited Driftless Area Restoration Effort has won the honor of being included in the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. TU DARE has was launched in 2006 as a Trout Unlimited National driven collaborative effort to restore watersheds, streams, fish, and other species to benefit the environment and local communities of the Driftless area. TU DARE has played a role in helping chapters and state councils restore sections of over 150 streams and raise over 35 million dollars in state, federal and private contributions for stream restoration projects. There will be a short reception at 6pm with the presentation of the award in the reception area of the Anne Simley theater before the films.
We are seeking short films and videos that showcase fly fishing in the upper Midwest. Share your experiences of connecting with the water, hooking the big one, or that day when all the fish were rising. We encourage entries that display creativity, adventure, exploration and wise resource use. Selected films and videos will be screened during an evening event on Saturday, March 18th, 2017 at the Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo.
Entrants of films and videos to be included in the screening will be notified prior to the event. Tickets to the showcase are currently for sale here. You do not need to attend the event to submit or to win.
To have your video considered, send a YouTube or Vimeo link of it to firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday, March 1st, 2017. Include your phone number with submission.
